FCT Youths/Students Groups Demands Interrogation Of Senator Ireti Over Involvement In NATCOM Fraud

In a concerted effort to uphold transparency and accountability integrity is paramount, youths and students organizations within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have jointly called upon the Inspector General of Police to summon Senator Ireti for questioning regarding her purported involvement in fraudulent activities related to recruitment as regards numerous individuals in FCT have fallen victim to a scam involving fake appointment letters from NATCOM, allegedly facilitated by senator ireti.

Recent revelations have surfaced involving Senator Ireti in alleged fraudulent schemes connected to NATCOM, raising significant concerns among the populace, particularly the youth and student communities. As stakeholders committed to ethical governance and the rule of law, we cannot remain silent in the face of such serious allegations.

The failure of Senator Ireti to authenticate the information of the organization before rushing into partnerships and distributing counterfeit appointment letters did just expose her glaring poor representation at the National Assembly, but a clarion call for concern being the Senator for the FCT. This reckless behavior has left many individuals in FCT of distress and uncertainty, having celebrated what they believed to be genuine employment opportunities coming from a Senator, only to realize they were victims of deception and share show of naivety.

Ireti, whose role should be to inspire hope and facilitate legitimate opportunities for the youths in the FCT, has instead undermined the trust of the people by associating with entities involved in fraudulent activities.
Recall serious concerns were raised about the genuineness of the appointment the first day she released the flyer on her social media handles but unfortunately the senator through her aide (Solomon Garda) countered the information and said the appointment was genuine and the Senator has since be very busy sharing this fraudulent appointment letters to the youths of FCT in her constituency office giving it a nod.

The youth of FCT, now find themselves grappling with a sense of betrayal and disappointment by this singular act of Senator. Instead of the senator to be championing initiatives that will empower and uplift the youths with federal appointments from custom, immigration, even our very own FCDA appointments rather Senator Ireti’s office has inadvertently contributed to their suffering by failing to exercise due diligence in vetting employment opportunities.

We, the youth firmly believe that this act of the Senator must be thoroughly investigated to ascertain the veracity of the circumstance to unravel the truth and seek justice to all that have suffered injurious psychological condition as a result of this shenanigan staged by Senator Ireti.
It is imperative that law enforcement agencies, under the leadership of the Inspector General of Police, initiate prompt and impartial inquiries into this matter.

Furthermore, we urge all relevant authorities to ensure that due process is followed, and that those found culpable of any wrongdoing face the full wrath of the law. Accountability is paramount in fostering a society built on principles of integrity and fairness.

As representatives of the vibrant youth and student population in the FCT, we remain steadfast in our commitment to promoting transparency, accountability, and good governance. We call upon all stakeholders, including government institutions, civil society organizations, and the general public, to support our quest for truth and justice in this matter.

Signed
Peter Jesse.
Coordinator, FCT Students 4 Good Governance.
Immediate Past Chairman, NANS FCT.
