If you’re a small business owner, this post is for you.

As the Christmas season gets closer, businesses are positioning for massive sales season, by putting together some systems and strategies that would help them achieve great results.

While some businesses are just hoping that sales would come, somehow.

My question to you is…

How are you positioning your brand to make sales this season?

What kind of offers are you creating?

Are you making use of paid advertising or you’re depending on organic traffic?

How about we look at these 6 PROVEN STRATEGIES that would help you increase sales in your business this season? (Works in all seasons too)

1. Offer complimentary products.

If you sell cloths for instance, you can offer a purse or a slippers as a complimentary product.

E.g 1: Get 10 liters of vegetable oil for FREE, when you order for 25kg of stone-free Abakaliki rice for only N26,000.

E.g 2: Get a FREE purse and a matching shoe, when you buy our best selling hand bag for N20,000, today only.

2. Use urgency.

Sometimes, people are reluctant to make a purchase, but when you use urgency in your message, people would be moved to make a quick purchase, because of FOMO – Fear Of Missing Out.

E.g Get 10 liters of vegetable oil for FREE, when you order for 25kg of stone-free Abakaliki rice.

This Offer is valid till 10am on Friday 4th of December. Click here (or call this number) to place your order NOW.

3. Use scarcity.

People don’t like to lose out on a seemingly good deal. Using scarcity would ensure that people take advantage of the offer before it goes out of stock.

Eg. Get 10 liters of vegetable oil and half basket of onion for FREE, when you order for 25kg of stone-free Abakaliki rice.

Hurry and place your order now, our rice is selling out fast, only 5 bags of rice left in stock.

4. Ask for referral from your existing customers.

You’ll be surprised at how many people are willing to help if you ask them, so far you’re treating your customers well.

This is another reason why you shouldn’t joke with customer service/relationship.

5. Always use a CTA.

Don’t run an Ad without a CTA – Call To Action.

You want people to call a number? Tell them to call this number NOW.

You want people to send you a message? Tell them to send a message NOW.

You want people to shop online? Tell them to Shop NOW.

Always use a Call To Action.

6. Continually send bulk SMS to your customers and prospects informing them about your offers.

This is why it is important to separate your personal life from your business.

Get a different phone number for your business and know that any call that comes in there is a business call.

In that way, it is easier to get all the numbers on a bulk SMS platform and blast messages to them with a link to your offers.

I hope you find this helpful and I do hope you implement and get great results this season.

There are many strategies that you can apply, but these few are the most common and can be easily implemented.

I wish you loads of profit in your business this season.
