Fun Shopping Finds:

Follow on Instagram

Instagram accounts to follow:

  • Follow @WhatWillyCook for some fun food videos by a dude with a British accent. I love him!
  • Follow @Realgame.Athletics for some really fun and amazing exercise videos!
streaming reading

What I’m watching and reading:

  • Another season of Love is Blind has been released on Netflix. I don’t know why I love this train-wreck of a show, but I do!
  • I’m currently listening to The Art Thief: A True Story of Love, Crime, and a Dangerous Obsession by Micheal Finkel. This is a book that my sister recommended to me. I love a true story, and this one is interesting! From Amazon: One of the most remarkable true-crime narratives of the twenty-first century: the story of the world’s most prolific art thief, Stéphane Breitwieser. In this spellbinding portrait of obsession and flawed genius, the author brings us into Breitwieser’s strange world—unlike most thieves, he never stole for money, keeping all his treasures in a single room where he could admire them.
Must Make Recipes

Fun Recipes I’ve spotted on the internet this week:

personal updates

Here’s what’s going on in my life:

  • Since it’s breast cancer awareness month, I decided to keep spreading the word about my experience with having surgery for breast cancer last summer. I ordered some breast cancer awareness workout gear: leggings, a tank and a hat. I will wear them to workout class and hopefully continue to help raise awareness!
  • I was also contacted by Mayo clinic this week to see if I would do some media for them regarding my experience at Mayo with breast cancer. I said, “yes!” They were interested in talking to me since my breast cancer was detected with an MRI mammogram instead of the usual regular mammogram. I was also flagged as high risk, so my case was a little different. The point is to talk to your doctor and make sure you’re communicating. You can read about my whole breast cancer story on my Instagram post.

Products I'm Loving

Products I’m loving:

  • I totally love these Halloween molds. Just pour some melted chocolate into them, and you’ve got some spooky chocolates!
  • Cute fall wreath for your front door!
  • If you have access to Safeway/Fred Meyer/Kroger/Albertsons markets… look for the seasonal ice cream sandwiches: Eggnog, Peppermint and Pumpkin. They’re delicious!
  • Fall candles!
  • Love this fall sign… perfect for a fireplace!
  • Look for OREO Halloween cookies with orange filling!
  • Here’s a festive doormat that will get you through October and November.
  • These knit pumpkins are pretty adorable!
Time to Bake

Let’s bake some cornbread!

  • I love Buttermilk Cornbread for its dense texture and slightly sweet flavor. It’s not a light and fluffy cornbread. It’s heavy and wonderful.
  • This is a simple recipe for the traditional, Sweet Cornbread that everyone loves.
  • I’ve loved this Green Chile Cornbread recipe for many years. It’s adapted from Barefoot Contessa!
